Area Automotive: Our Daily Production Capacity
About the robotic automation system Cubebox that Tezmaksan has developed with domestic opportunities, Area Automotive Rubber Metal General Manager Oray Erdönmez said “Our product number used to be around 450 pieces per day. After we started-up Cubebox system our Daily production capacity increased to approximately 700 pieces. A faultless production with almost no loss has been ensured after a successful positioning of our products’ front and back operations.”
Oray Erdönmez who we have come together about their investments in Cubebox and the Cubebox system which aims to provide 50 percent productivity increase and 24 hours uninterrupted working to machining companies, tells us more about the details regarding our interview:
Firstly I would like to thank Tezmaksan for their Research-Development. It is essential for our country to follow the technology closely. I believe that we will be able to produce in robotic arms in the near future. The production of specific and sensitive pieces becames easier and more rigid with robotic automation system. Moreover it is beneficial regarding the capacity. Stances go down to minimum while productivity increases. Continuity is also very important in production. No company that invests in technology and digitilizaition would make a loss. Even though the transition is painful, the satisfaction increases as productivity increases.
Our goal in this field is to improve our client portfolio and to broaden our product groups that we are exporting by using the high technology in every way. Although the investment costs increase at first, the new investment paths open thanks to decreasing production costs and increasing productivity.
Our products do not consist of short-term operations but wide-scaled and longer-term operations of complicated pieces which require at least two tyings. Thanks to Cubebox system one of our operators were idled in each shift. Therefore our steady operator helped us taking extra steps to improve the control and quality between benches.
This is of course an undeniable contribution and even more if you have a mass and stable production. For instance we preferred Cubebox for our complicated pieces alongside mass production. Now the robotic system that works on a single bench has decreased our workload seriously. It allowed us to transfer at least one operator per shift to the other works. Our future goal is to feed our two or three benches at the same time with Cubebox and to increase our production capacity. Instead of joining we are currently living these goals realistically in our company.
