First in Turkey, in Sivas
Turkey’s first dark factory was opened last year in Sivas by Tezmaksan. Tezmaksan Group CEO Hakan Aydoğdu shared the following information:
“We have invested 15 million euros in our factory so far. We designed and implemented our system to align with lean manufacturing techniques and value stream mapping, in accordance with the Industry 4.0 dark factory concept. We delegate standard tasks to industrial robots, and internal logistics duties are handled through unmanned vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Currently, we have 16 employees in total — 3 are white-collar and 13 are blue-collar workers.”
