A New Era In User-friendly Part Feeding Operations
With years of expertise in developing future technologies needed by the machining industry, Tezmaksan provides manufacturing ease to the industrial sector through RoboCam Plus, a tool with wide-ranging applications in industrial and commercial areas. RoboCAM Plus enables the efficient and user-friendly programming of part feeding operations and simplifies the part-feeding process to machines or various stations through the CubeBOX robotic automation system. Expanding its offerings with technologies designed to keep pace with Industry 4.0 manufacturing processes, Tezmaksan developed RoboCAM Plus to meet the demands of industrial automation. Thanks to its advanced capabilities, RoboCAM Plus eliminates the complexity of intricate feeding setups. Integrated with the CubeBOX robotic automation system, this software can be applied across all areas where robotic feeding is used, and it is continually updated based on customer feedback to maintain the latest technology.
DESIGNED TO INTEGRATE WITH THE CubeBOX SYSTEM
During the development process of RoboCAM, Tezmaksan’s General Manager of Robotics Technologies, Serhat Volkan Yılmaz, highlighted the functional approach they took: “RoboCAM Plus, inspired by the needs of industrial automation, was developed to enable effective and easy programming of part-feeding operations to machines or different stations through CubeBOX. We wanted to create a user-friendly interface with advanced capabilities that didn’t require users to operate the robot’s controller. While traditionally, the feeding setup could be configured using the robot’s controller, this required extensive training and knowledge. With RoboCAM Plus, we minimized this requirement. This software has vast potential in both industrial and commercial fields. Designed to integrate with the CubeBOX system, RoboCAM Plus can perform tasks managed by one or more machine operators, with high control capabilities, 24/7. It can feed not only workpieces to the machine but also those mounted on fixtures or pallets. At the end of the machining process, parts can be restocked in CubeBOX or placed on a conveyor.”
Yılmaz also emphasized their focus on customer feedback during RoboCAM Plus’s development: “We respond swiftly to customer feedback to continually improve the software. In the future, we plan to add features such as a 3D modeling tool with a robust offline test mode and further development of pallet pooling and gantry robots. Born as a software aligned with Industry 4.0, RoboCAM Plus makes significant contributions to the digital transformation process. Our design team, entirely in-house, is complemented by our sales and service teams, who have been engaged with the industry for years, which gives the software a significant advantage. As a company, we will continue investing in R&D to keep up with evolving technology and provide the industry with the most up-to-date solutions.”
COMPLEX FEEDING SETUPS ARE NO LONGER A PROBLEM
Yılmaz pointed out that configuring the workflow in feeding cells can sometimes be challenging, but RoboCAM Plus has addressed this. He highlighted the software's advantages: “With RoboCAM Plus, our customers can create any feeding setup. Once the feeding cell's initial setup is complete, programming is straightforward due to the software's station-based program structure. Key features of RoboCAM include easy creation of complex feeding setups, a station-based program structure, an object-oriented software architecture, and secure usage through user accounts. Additional highlights include the ability to read part positions from DXF files and let users create their own matrices.”
